In an era when rap groups were commonly accepted and lyrical content had a prominent pedestal, Club Mecca would probably rank as one of the most underrecognized hip-hop groups in the Midwest, once quoted by Rapsheet Magazine to being a "hip-hop crew for the real heads!" Club Mecca would never come short of bringing thought provoking Rhymes and witty word play to the rap canvas. Hailing from Beloit WI. Cub Mecca First signed to Regime Records in 1998 with a regiment of eight MCs;  who consisted of  Cory "Co-Mani" Hereford, Eric "E-Rip - Encyclopedia Brown" Harrell,  Mick "Dagger" Dubois,  Mandrick "Man Biz" Brown, Antonio "Low Eyes" Johnson, Carlos "Socrateez" Rogers, and Tony Davis.

Club Mecca's first single, "Guard Ya Life! from Regime's debut compilation The Land in Between Vol. 1 quickly became one of the groups most recognized street anthems, and received praise from notable magazines like "The Source" and "Rap Sheet". ​"Why Label" (another single on the Land In Between Soundtrack) was also instrumental in breaking down industry stereotypes, showing beyond a doubt that their were parallels and just as much talent in the Midwest than on the coasts. But unfortunately, the diverse and aesthetic personalities of the group would lead to their demise and adventitiously the group was dropped from the label in 2000.
